Price and consolidation patterns: reduce a short-term universe for research
This workflow starts with recent-gainer candidates, then applies a price ceiling, consolidation bars and range, and maximum pullback. It describes a past pattern; it does not forecast the next move.
Universe and parameters
The implementation uses Taiwan-listed and OTC equities as its candidate source. Adjustable inputs include lookback days, candidate count, price ceiling, consolidation bars and percentage, and maximum pullback.
How to read a match
A consolidation-range or pullback match only means the historical price path passed the rules. Review volume quality, liquidity, corporate actions, and company events separately.
Data and limits
The candidate universe and intraday data use different third-party endpoints with different update rhythms. Market closures, halts, adjusted prices, or provider interruptions can delay, omit, or change results.
